A whole foods, plant-based diet emphasises a wide variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, legumes, nuts and seeds, seaweeds, herbs and spices - minimises animal products, and avoids refined foods. The benefits are note-worthy: it’s nutrient dense, alkaline forming, high in fibre, lowers your risk factors for many diseases and contributes to longevity!
