The high fibre content of this smoothie, thanks to the kale, berries and pear, mean the sugars from the date and orange juice won’t send your blood sugar levels crazy, so you’ll get a nice, long lasting burst of energy. Macadamia nuts provide healthy fats and help to lower cholesterol, and the lime juice and orange adds tang and softens the bitterness of the kale. Hello Saturday Morning! 

Blackberry Bounce

  • 1 cup kale
  • 1 pear, cored
  • 1 cup blackberries
  • ½ lime, peeled
  • ¼ cup of macadamia nuts
  • 1 Medjool date
  • 1 cup fresh orange juice
  • A few ice cubes
